Romanesque Day at the Church of San Giacomo and San Valentino

Romanesque Day: Guided tour of the Churches of St. Jakob and St. Valentin

Experience a guided tour on Saturday of the Romanesque-Gothic St. Valentin Church, nestled amid vineyards, as well as the famous St. Jakob Church in Kastelaz, which, with its frescoes from 1220, is considered one of South Tyrol’s most important works of art. The guided tour of St. Jakob Church will be offered again on Sunday.

Opening hours of St. Jakob Church: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., freely accessible.
Approach
Coming from the highway, take the Neumarkt-Tramin exit. From there, turn right and follow the signs for about 4 km to Tramin. If you are coming from Bolzano, follow the South Tyrolean Wine Road to Tramin. Parking is available below the Town Hall Square on Via Mindelheimer or next to the festival grounds.
